All About JJ - LONG TERM FOSTER CARE

JJ is a stunning black beauty who is another of our Long Term Foster dogs.

At 5 months old, following a game of rough and tumble in the field with his siblings, JJ sadly fractured his leg.  To aid his recovery, he was bought into Home Run Hounds' kennel block, where he began to also learn 'pet craft'.

Once strong enough and out of his cast, JJ enjoyed his daily walks, cuddles, enrichment and free time in the paddock, as do our other homeless hounds. It was immediately clear that he was forming a very strong bond with volunteer Alan.  Due to JJ's age, he could not be neutered until reaching his first birthday.  Luckily for JJ, Alan took him home whilst we waited for the date.

Fast forward a few months and JJ is now neutered, healthy and very loved.  He will need ongoing vet care due to his leg injury, as he gets older, so will remain on foster - very much adored by Alan and his family.  Whilst on foster with Home Run Hounds, all vet and food costs are met by us, via our fund raising activities.
