Tamworth Greyhound Walks

Join us for another fun group Greyhound walk!

Please join us on the first Saturday of every month for a gentle stroll around historic Tamworth. Overlooked by the stunning Castle we meet in the castle grounds outside the Hub community centre.

This is a flat, easy 30-40 minute walk that meanders through the park along the river, around the castle and through the town centre (with a quick stop at the market stall selling dog treats) and back to the start. This walk is particularly suited to those with less able dogs, pushchairs, mobility scooters etc.

It's a great opportunity for both greyhounds and their humans to socialise while showcasing our wonderful dogs as we always get stopped along the way by the public asking questions about greyhounds as pets.

Dogs from the kennels who are looking for homes are usually there so it's a great opportunity for anyone interested in meeting some homeless hounds to come along and talk to our volunteers.

Parking is at various Tamworth town centre pay and display car parks (charges vary)  and there are public toilets in the park. For those with children there is a fantastic playground and skate park to enjoy after the walk and a small cafe where you can buy refreshments.

Thank you to Tamworth Council for granting permission for us to hold these walks. It provides a great opportunity for greyhound owners to support eachother and for the dogs to socialise, as well are raise awareness about what great pets greyhounds make.
