GORNAL FUN DAY - SATURDAY 1ST JULY 2023

Gornal Fun Day is a lovely annual event, so we felt very privileged to be invited to host a stall.  Christine and her hard working committee of organisers are no strangers to retired racing greyhounds looking for their forever homes, so it was great to catch up with them all again.

Alongside our greyhounds was a brass band, cheerleader display, kids and adult fancy dress competition, local radio and loads of stalls - selling a vast array of lovely produce.

Our tombola proved very popular, raising £157.  This amazing amount will go towards meeting our vet costs for our handsome hounds.  Only one thing more popular, (well, 2 actually) were Ada and Windmill - two of our adorable greys, looking for a family of their very own.  Both of them lapped up all the attention and cuddles and our fantastic volunteer team for the day got to chat to loads of different people about what amazing pets retired racing greyhounds make.

Huge thanks to everyone who came over for a 'furfix' and for all your donations.  Extra special thanks to our fab volunteers Helen, Amanda, Shirley and Phil  - who gave up their Saturday afternoon to support our gorgeous greyhounds.

We are delighted to say that due to this event Windmill has had a viewing and is now reserved!
