All About DUMBO (HONOUR DUMBO)

**RESERVED** This hound has been reserved for a potential new owner.

Meet Dumbo: The Dinky Greyhound
Dumbo (Honour Dumbo) is a "pocket-sized" greyhound with a massive heart. While she’s been waiting at the kennels for a little while, a recent foster weekend with experienced volunteers Marc and Bec has proven what we already suspected that Dumbo would be an absolute superstar in a home environment.
If you are looking for a gentle, "titchy" companion then Dumbo is your girl.
Recent Foster Highlights
 * Dumbo settled into the home immediately. She is quiet, calm, and loves simply being in the same room as her humans.
 * No early morning wake-up calls here! Dumbo sleeps through the night perfectly and actually needs a bit of encouragement to get out of bed in the morning.
 * She visited a local pub during a noisy rugby match and was a total angel, settling onto her bed without a fuss.
 * She showed zero interest in "counter surfing" or begging while her foster family ate.
 Out and About
* Dumbo is learning that the big wide world isn't so scary, but she still needs a guiding hand.
*She can jump right into the boot of a car and travels beautifully.
*She is still nervous about traffic—especially loud motorbikes or cars coming from behind. She may spin or try to move away, but because she is so light and dainty, she is very easy to handle on a harness. Even if she gets a fright, she calms down almost instantly and gets right back to her walk.
*She was a champion at Chasewater, walking past many dogs without issue. She even stood politely next to a Westie for 10 minutes! (Note: Very small "fluffies" may still cause a bark, but she redirects easily).
The Ideal Forever Home
Dumbo thrives on reassurance. She would be happiest in a quiet home, ideally with an owner who has some experience with sighthounds to help her build confidence outdoors. Having another hound to follow would be the icing on the cake for her!
Dumbo has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to give her the security she craves. In return, she’ll give you 100% of her heart
