All About MARGO (MISS MARGOT)

**RESERVED** This hound has been reserved for a potential new owner.

We asked if one of our volunteers would foster quiet girl Margo over Christmas to give us an idea of what this quiet girl was like in a home and volunteer Thelma stepped up.

Margo has shown herself to be an extremely loving and affectionate girl. She is very sweet and enjoys being around people. She has many wonderful qualities and can be quite lazy even by greyhound standards  perhaps enjoying home comforts  but also tinged with a bit of nervousness.

She is hesitant to go upstairs and prefers to stay on the ground floor and settled better when leaving a light on for her - it's early days and everything is just so strange. Going to try leaving talk radio on next to see if that helps.

Margo has an extraordinary appetite and will eat almost anything. Vegetables - she loves carrots (both raw and cooked) and even enjoyed eating raw cabbage leaves.

Treats: She has enjoyed sliced ham, her regular food mixed with pate, and toast with peanut butter.
Margo is a bit apprehensive about going for walks when it is bitterly cold outside but also as everything is so new and strange for her. She became very nervous when encountering large crowds at the park on Boxing Day.

However she is excellent with other animals showing no negative reactions to other dogs, horses, birds, and she may be worth testing with cats so watch this space.

We're sure with patience and love, Margo will blossom into a loving, joyful companion.
