All About CONTI (BALLYMAC CONTI)

Conti is a lovely boy and always greets you with a smile and waggy tail....at the kennels, but lacks confidence out in the big wide world so we're working on that.

Two of our volunteers took him out and home for the day and this is what they found:
"We took Conti for an offsite walk and home visit today. Onsite he is a lovely fussy and friendly hound with a happy wagging tail and a spring in his step. He had to be lifted into the boot, but he travelled very well and we didn’t hear a peep from him.

He walked absolutely perfectly with a casual and calm stroll. He had radar ears for most of the time we walked and seemed intrigued by everything, but made no move to act on anything we saw.
We met a lovely calm pug and Conti was not bothered, quick calm sniff and then just stood looking for 10mins while we chatted to the owner.

When we got Conti home he was like a different dog, he seemed to have lost all his confidence and was worried about coming into the house. We coaxed him into the house with treats easily enough, but he didn’t like to stay inside for very long. He looked a little happier eventually after I lead him around a few rooms, but still preferred to be outside. Laminate floor and TV being on were no problem.

Conti was great walking but needs to get a confidence boost for being in a home to help him realise the dog you see at the kennels can be the same one in a home."

We took Conti to an awareness event but it was all to busy for him and but he enjoyed walking in a quieter area and then chilling in the van.

So it appears Conti prefers the quiet life so if that describes you, then please get in touch.
