INTRODUCING DASHER -

Dasher is a sweet, petite girl who has got quite a fan club at kennels. She's a real dream.

Two of our volunteers took her home for visit and reported back:

"We took Dasher offsite and for a home visit. She is a lovely petite girl who is pleased to meet and fuss you. She had to be lifted in the car, but travelled well. She did keep popping up to have a look around but then settled back down again.

She walked very well along the pavement by the main road and was not bothered by the traffic. She walked excellently across the fields without pulling and she only did the occasional zig zag. She walks with her tail in a happy curled position and her ears flicking around interested in all of the things going on around her. Dasher loves a good sniff, but a majority of this is done on the move with only the occasional stop.

We met a pair of Malte-poo dogs who were very interested in sniffing Dasher, but she was a little taken aback and backed off a few steps. We then met a small and very happy Staffy dog who stood very still and they were happy just sniffing each other.

Home visit was good. She figured out the stairs without a problem. She was not bothered by laminate floor or the TV being on. She takes treats gently out of your hands. She wants to play, but is just not quite there yet. She was very interested in the house and had a good look around, but she wasn’t interested in settling on her bed, just wondering round and coming back for a fuss."

She also went to the Baggeridge Christmas Walk and our volunteers said that she walked like a dream - liked to be out in front but didn't pull. She would suit someone who needs a calm gentle dog or who has never had a greyhound before - a good beginner's dog.

If you are interested in Dasher than you'd better dash to our Watford Gap Kennels - she won't be with us for long!
