Glowing Foster Report for Falcon who is back in kennels looking for a forever home
One of the happiest, sweetest dogs you can meet! Always greets you with a big smile and a seriously wagging tail! He loves to rest on a comfy bed with the sun shining onto him (to be honest he really doesn’t want to get up when the sun is out!) He is also super gentle; he never jumps up at you flailing paws or tries to steal your food/treats. Loves a good lean and once he has figured out that he can get on the sofa he will be the most loveable cuddly boy! He is a bright boy and he learns fast.
At first, he wasn’t sure of the noises from the world in his first ever home! TV’s, binmen, cars etc were all new and he would stare into his reflection as he was working it out. 2 weeks in and he is now absolutely fine with day-to-day noises, he will still get up and confused if he hears a dog barking on the TV as he doesn’t understand that its not in the room but he is getting there and settles back down on his bed once he realises its ok.
He has come on in absolute leaps and bounds in the last 2 weeks, can get up and down the stairs unassisted though he does like to crash up them as he goes which made us chuckle! Used to a straight staircase so a curved one he would just need to adjust to. Eats his food very nicely but at first he did like to check and make sure his surroundings were safe but now he’s used to it. Much like his gentle nature he does eat slower than most so if living with another dog just need to be mindful of the other stealing/finishing quicker.
Travels well in the car and he was happy being left for short periods. He is a dream with other doggies and lived well with his female greyhound kennelmate (Queenie). They played together nicely and even had a little zoomies in the garden, showed absolutely no aggression towards her even when they both had toys he played nicely. Was lovely to everyone (including some lovely children) out on his walks and he doesn’t pull hard. He does like to walk at a pace if he gets his way and would benefit from being allowed to run it out every so often! Does have the usual strong greyhound prey drive so cats wouldn’t be a fit.
All in he is truly a wonderful dog and a ready-made pet! Please adopt the ‘Fantastic Falcon’ and give him a loving home!
Well it doesn't get much better than that - so please get in touch to come and visit Fantastic Falcon
