All About PAT (ME PATSY)

**RESERVED** This hound has been reserved for a potential new owner.

A softie at heart, he shares his kennel space happily with his 'lady' - so could either be homed as an only pet, or as a second addition to a pack. Pat walks nicely on the lead and is eager to please, therefore very easily trainable. Socialisation is ongoing with the volunteers, where he is being introduced to other breeds and the sights, sounds (and sniffs) of the big wide world.  A favourite amongst staff in his racing kennel - Pat will make a loyal and happy pet.

Pat enjoyed his foster experience over Christmas and his foster family advised he is a very inquisitive boy who is eager to learn the ways of pet life.

He's a loving boy who enjoys a cuddle and loves his walks. His kennel mate, Wilma, went with him on  joint foster. He took time to settle and looked to Wilma a lot for direction. For this reason we think Pat would be better as a second hound or with a greyhound experienced family who are prepared to work with him.

At our recent Baggeridge Walk, Pat was somewhat anxious around smaller breeds, jumping around when they approached him. We feel this will calm down as Pat gains more experience of the big wide world.

Just think how rewarding it will be to see Pat blossom into a confident, loving pet that we know he can be.  If you think you can help him, then please get in touch.

PUPDATE
Our volunteer fed back recently - When Pat first came to us he was a bit of a handful and serious foodie, on my first outing with him I had a coffee and a teacake, he would climb on the table to get food and in fact trod on my cake. But now he as learned to wait until he is given food he takes treats without snatching. He walks on the lead beautiful and is so loving. I'm hoping he gets a loving home soon xxx

We do too - he's been waiting far too long.
