Remember that all of our greyhounds are NeuteredVaccinated Microchipped and ready to meet their loving new family. Could it be you?
Rex is a big love sponge! He's a bit tricky to walk only because he stops for a fuss every few seconds! But if you're looking for a super friendly, loving companion dog, then look no further.
Our volunteers took him for a trip out and said, "He’s an absolute fuss monster, he had us chuckling with his ‘leans’ every 3 steps - he was spoilt for choice with 3 sets of legs to choose from so he took it turns to try them all and share the love.
We took him to The Fox Inn at Hopwas and had a lovely walk around the area. Highly recommend The Fox, it’s a great place for well behaved dogs (which of course Rex was) they have a very extensive dog menu. Rex wasn’t interested in a treat so didn’t think he’d be fussed about a Paw Star Martini - maybe another time.
Rex needed to be lifted into the car but happily jumped out. Quite nervous travelling, lots of panting and was nervous inside the Fox (although not busy or loud) but all to be expected - this was one of his first trips out after all.
Once we got walking he was brave enough to take a few more steps before needing a ‘lean’ until he was happy to walk ahead with only needing an occasional lean or a look back to check we were all still there. He saw some pigeons but wasn’t at all interested (not good lean candidates).
Rex walked lovely, no pulling, wasn’t phased by the loud motorbike that drove past but will try to approach any passer-by to see if they want their legs warming. He was a pleasure to spend the morning with."
