All About SWIFTY (SWIFT MADMAN)

Swifty is a very quiet, clean boy in his kennel. He stands calmly and patiently while getting ready to go out and travels well. On walks he is easy to handle and trots along nicely, right by your side, on a loose lead. He is alert to his surroundings, constantly looking for any movement in the distance, but doesn’t pull or stop. He is calmer with larger dogs and managed a very polite greeting with a collie he met at the park. He becomes more excitable around smaller breeds, as he still isn’t sure what to make of them, however his pull isn’t strong and he is easy to hold.

On a recent trip out of kennels to the outdoor market in Kidderminster, our volunteer reported:

“It was quiet because of the miserable weather, but Swifty was a hit with those brave enough to venture out. Lots of people stopped to give him a fuss and have a chat.

Swifty took everything in his stride, walking calmly by my side. He was happy to be fussed by everyone, took no notice when a little dog barked at him and wasn’t even bothered when three noisy motorbikes whizzed past. Well done Swifty, you were a star today,”

Swifty is beginning to make sense of the big wide world outside the kennel environment. Could you be the person to continue this handsome hound’s training?
