All About TIM (GLYNNSCROSS TIM)

All About TIM (GLYNNSCROSS TIM)

Tim is a big handsome hunk of a greyhound who loves a fuss and a good old lean on anyone who gets within range!  When Tim first joined us he was very unsure about other breeds, and very loudly let everyone know it!   While he is still unsure he is learning that they don’t need to be shouted at all the time!

Tim enjoyed some time out from kennels recently with one of our volunteers, and here is how he got on...
Tim jumped straight onto my back seat and travelled well.  He does like to see what’s going on outside the car though, so spent a lot of the journey with his head on the parcel shelf, looking out of the back window.
Our first stop was a walk around Cookley and lunch at the sports club. We saw a few dogs, but Tim behaved perfectly, paying them little attention. He was also surprisingly well-mannered while I ate, showing little interest in my food.  Next up I took Tim home for a couple of hours. He coped well in the house, although he was clearly out of his comfort zone.  He was unsure about any noise outside the house and even left the room when I turned the TV on.  He did come back though and I’m sure he would get used to it without too much trouble.  Tim was happy to lie on the bed I put out for him but was never relaxed enough to take a nap. He made no attempt to get on the furniture and learnt quickly when told not to do something. He was also clean in the house with no accidents.  He went through our box of dog toys and chose a squeaky ball which he took to the bed and kept himself entertained with. We know Tim can be possessive with toys and he did give a little growl telling me to back off, when I got too close with my camera, even though I wasn’t trying to take the toy. I later took the ball off him in exchange for a treat. - good boy Tim!
Tim probably is best suited to a family that understands him, where there are no children and maybe as an only dog as he's not keen on sharing things that are important to him.
Tim is an affectionate boy and it was a pleasure to take him out.   Tim has so many positives and will make a great pet with someone who "gets him" . Is that someone you?
If you can offer Tim a home and help him to carry on learning about the big wide world you really won’t regret it.
