BLAKE (BLACKBEARD)'s story:
The Briggs family felt it was time to open their hearts and home to a hound after the loss of their greyhound, Bo.
Bo was a strong dog and the family wanted to home a greyhound that was sticking in kennels.
Enter Blake, there have been numerous videos of Blake, not yet 2 and a bundle of energy. He is the water dog who just loves paddling pools.
After spending some time with Blake on site, Lis & Tony decided that he was worth trying at home, much to William’s delight who had fallen for this energy filled pup.
We knew at Home Run Hounds, a perfect home was waiting for Blake, he needed some boundaries and people with a sense of humour. Blake went home on our foster to adopt scheme and we are incredibly impressed with the progress made in 2 short weeks.
Blake, now Bobby, has a fantastic family to grow up with, a beautiful home and all the love in the world, plus multiple places to sleep, a spacious garden to play in and new dog friends, including the German Shepherd, Katie, who lives next door.
Bobby celebrated his second birthday in his new home this week.
Bobby, your new family were worth the wait, we will miss your antics in kennels but couldn’t be happier for you. The Briggs family have signed up as volunteers and we know that they will keep us updated with your journey.
