Greyhounds come in 18 primary colors and over 55 different color combinations
When Amy and Will took a stall at the RSPCA Burton upon Trent & District Branch spring show in Stretton they weren’t necessarily expecting to find new family members too, but that’s just what happened as they met homeless hounds from Home Run Hounds and it was love at first sight.
They fell for Ranger straight away but realised that he and his kennel mate Dotty made such a great pair that they just couldn’t split them up … so they had them both.
After two weeks on Foster To Adopt they came back to kennels to complete the paperwork. Dotty worked the room for fusses and Ranger took it easy, lying down in true greyhound style whilst things went on around him. Apparently one of his favourite new things is a comfortable bed. Or two. Dotty on the other hand is described as a proper snuggle bunny, who loves everyone and is as mad as a box of frogs!
We are so grateful to people like Amy and Will who take on the shyer dogs, those who take a bit longer to come out of their shell, like Ranger. Dotty found her feet immediately and settled right in and is helping Ranger, who has needed a bit more time to realise just how lucky he is to find such a perfect home where both dogs are already much lovedUse the buttons below to see all our available hounds or to read about the adoption procedure we have in place here at Home Run Hounds
