TIPP (CLONKEEN TIP)'s story:
Tipp has found his forever home. Having volunteered for quite a while and managing to stay strong, we’ve finally welcomed our own greyhound into our family!
On a very rare occasion of getting our whole family out on a Christmas walk, we turned up at kennels and took out the newly arrived Tipp for his first trip! Risky as had our 12 year old spaniel with us, but clearly meant to be!
We tried hard to resist taking Tipp home as the days went by, taking him out as volunteers, knowing full well he would be here to stay. Abi asked if he could come on foster for her birthday, Tipp’s birthday being the day before hers, and there the seed was planted!
The plan was to do things slowly but once we saw how much he loved his bed, it got too hard to take him back!
Tipp is doing great and his daftness and love far outway the odd wee in the house.
Our two cats are still not overly impressed so that may take a bit of work, but we are working on it!
Tipp is learning the ropes from our 12 year old spaniel, sniffing where he sniffs, weeing where he wees, getting told off when he gets a little too crazy with toys and zoomies in the garden.
So glad we got drawn in and can’t wait to take Tipp to the seaside!!!!
