Happily Homed Hounds - Buck

Buck, formerly known as The Bucket Lady, is now happily homed with his very own family. Here’s how it happened in their own words.

Buck arrived with us in late August 2023 and we fostered him with a view to adopt for a while as he had a few settlement issues, mainly to do with getting used to having 3 cats around and having a sensitive tummy as well. He’s a lovely little dog with real character. He loves routine and especially his food.

He gets on well with our other greyhound, Romeo. He’s been to Scotland on holiday with us and he’s off to the Suffolk Coast and Scotland again this year. He travels nicely in the car and is polite on the lead. He’s mastered the stairs, but it took him a while. Going downstairs though, his gait is still like that of a kangaroo crossed with a frog! He can also sit which most greyhounds can’t do. We’ve never had one that can do this before. He looks so cute in his little red coat.

Buck is a lovely little boy to have around and we’re so glad that we took him on.

Jayne and Richard.
