The journey started with a few nerves; Theo needed a lift into the car and took a while to settle, but was very excited once we arrived at the park He practically jumped out of the car, eager to take in every new sight and smell.
He was a little "zig-zaggy" and strong on the lead at first (there was just so much to see!), but he was fascinated by the off-lead dogs playing fetch. No reactivity at all—just pure interest!
When an off-lead Boxer came over to say hello, Theo was a little apprehensive, but he handled it like a total gentleman. We kept it brief to make sure he stayed confident and happy.
He met a group of three people and absolutely soaked up the fuss and attention.
After a little "watch and learn" session by the playground but mostly preferred to have a lean for fuss. The difference in him was amazing. By the time we headed back to the car, he was walking beautifully and settled down for the ride home immediately.
We know that with every outing, he’ll gain more confidence and let even more of his wonderful personality shine through.
