Zap is a striking black Greyhound who is ready to trade kennels for the sofa. He’s already proving to be an absolute natural at being a "good boy." Whether it's a car ride to a new park or a quiet evening at home, Zap just wants to be wherever you are.
Personality & Behavior Zap is "bright-eyed and bushy-tailed," viewing the world with a sense of wonder. Since everything is so new to him, he takes notice of everything. * The Ultimate Leaner: If you stand still long enough, you’ll feel the "Greyhound Lean." Zap loves to lean his weight against your legs to let you know he’s right there with you. * Professional Cuddler: This boy doesn’t just like affection; he craves it. He’s been known to "demand" hugs and will happily soak up all the "fusses" and strokes you can give. * A Gentle House Guest: In a foster setting, Zap was a dream. He slept through the night, ate his meals with gusto, and was a total gentleman around the young children, showing zero signs of guarding or grumpiness.
Walkies & Social Life Zap recently aced his first public outing at the Lichfield Walk! He is genuinely friendly with everyone he meets. * Dog Friendly: He is a perfect gentleman with other Greyhounds and shows a curious, polite interest in dogs of all shapes and sizes. * World Explorer: Because the world is so exciting, he can be a bit unpredictable on the lead when he sees something interesting. He’ll thrive with a confident handler who can guide his curiosity. * Confidence in Progress: While he’s brave, he occasionally looks for a little reassurance when things get busy or loud. A patient owner will see his confidence truly bloom. The Ideal Home Zap is looking for a home where he won’t have to spend too much time alone. He’s a "people dog" through and through—he followed his foster family from room to room and prefers to have his humans in sight. * Note on Stairs: Zap is a brave explorer who managed to get up the stairs in his foster home, but he hasn't quite mastered the "down" part yet—resulting in a very pampered carry back to the ground floor!
