HATTIE (HAWK)'s story:
Happy Hattie (Hawk) had all her dreams come true recently, when she found her forever family with Mum Katy. Katy had begun volunteering with us and whilst proving herself to be an incredible asset to the kennels, a special bond was building between these 2 lovely ladies
Hattie was quite the superstar - winning Monmore Green's 'Bitch of the Year' award, before retiring in Autumn. Totally adored by her racing owner Max, we promised we would find Hattie the very best forever home possible.
Katy has a loving bond with all our greys, but Hattie was truly special. The question was - would she get on with resident dalmation Bobbie ?
As with all our homings, a slow introduction was carried out on site, followed by a closely monitored & supported 'foster to adopt' period. Foster to Adopt takes away any pressure from the intended adopter, as all food, vet and insurance costs are met by the charity - affording the adopter the time and stress free period to concentrate on settling the dog into its new environment.
The foster to adopt term could not have gone better ! Thanks to the love and expertise of Katy & family (Bobbie very much included), Hattie's transition went very well from day 1. Katy & Hattie continued to strengthen their bond and a beautiful relationship began to form. We were thrilled when Katy shared with us that Hattie was now an integral part of their family.
We couldn't be happier for this fabulous family. Well done Hattie ! We know you have had all your dreams come true.
