Another Home Run Hounds Success Story!

Andy and Emma were heartbroken when their beloved greyhound, William, went over the rainbow bridge. They weren’t sure if they could love another but as the days turned into weeks, their house felt quiet and empty. They knew the only solution to make it feel like home again was to adopt a greyhound.

They came to kennels to meet a greyhound, whose write up on our website seemed perfect but when they met him, it didn’t just click so they were open to meeting others. Enter Jake, a volunteers favourite. Being a big greyhound didn’t faze them as they were used to big dogs having William. Jake worked his magic and it was instant love.

Jake can be a little uncertain about the big wide world, Andy and Emma are working with him to grow his confidence as they know that Jake is a smasher. He has made friends with the neighbour’s cat and has enjoyed helping Emma in the garden, showing off his toy playing skills and zoomies!

We are all so pleased that Jake has found Andy and Emma as we couldn’t have wished for a better home for him. Jake will help to heal their broken hearts with his snuggles and cuddles.
