Another Home Run Hounds Success Story!

LUKE (BOGGER BRUNO)

Read all about LUKE (BOGGER BRUNO)'s successful rehoming below.

LUKE (BOGGER BRUNO)'s story:

A caring neighbour put Shirley Jones in touch with Home Run Hounds after losing her standard poodle, Penny. Penny was so much more to Shirley than just a pet. She was her best friend and a real lifeline, giving her life a purpose. When Shirley rang, she told us that she didn’t know what to do with herself without a dog in her life.

She visited our Broadmarsh site where she was introduced to two of our gentler, calmer greyhounds. Shirley was disappointed when the first one out didn’t show much interest in her. However, Luke saved the day once he arrived back from his morning walk. Shirley happened to be sitting on the very much missed, former Lead Volunteer, Sue Dalley’s, memorial bench when Luke came straight up to her, placing his head in her lap. Clever boy Luke, or did Sue whisper in your ear maybe?

Apart from flattening the bluebells in Shirley’s garden, Luke has been a very good boy during his two week foster2adopt period. Shirley couldn’t wait to sign his adoption paperwork to make him official and he now has a complete new wardrobe to make him the best dressed dog in town. Please stop them for a chat if you see them out and about together.
