VOYAGE (SWIFT VOYAGE)'s story:
Lucky ladies Tilly (Blockrock Tilly) and Voyage (Swift Voyage) - now Betty had all their dreams come true when long time greyhound Mum & friend Debbie came to us looking for a girl as company for her gorgeous greys.
Debbie was only looking for one girl initially and we were thrilled when she enquired after Tilly. Tilly was such a nervous poppet - she would bark at and hide from any potential homers, which did put a lot of people off. Experienced in many different greyhound personalities, Debbie made the (sometimes 2 hour) journey from hers to kennels, to quietly spend time allowing Tilly to get to know her, at Tilly's pace. Meanwhile, Betty (also a shy type) was projecting her grey-dar on to Debbie, every time she visited, so Debbie also began working with her.
A few weeks and sessions later, Debbie reserved them both and they went off on Foster to Adopt. Not only had Debbie got to reassure both girls that home life isn't scary, they had also got to slot nicely into her established pack.
We all waited with our fingers and toes crossed that it would work. Debbie kept us informed with lovely pupdates and we were overjoyed to hear that these two now sisters were home to stay. Well done everyone
