PETS FOUNDATION ..... A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO THE TRUSTEES AND ALL INVOLVED

Home Run Hounds is incredibly grateful to the Pets Foundation trustees and staff for their transformative grant support. This funding has fundamentally enhanced our operational capacity and advanced our mission to home more ex-racing greyhounds.

The primary grant enabled the purchase of three vans. These vehicles serve our Broadmarsh branch in Hagley, Northwest branch in Rixton, and Romford branch in Essex. Featuring professional signwriting and bespoke interior cages, these vans make transporting our hounds much safer and more efficient. They function daily as animal ambulances, ensuring swift transit to essential veterinary appointments. Furthermore, they allow our team to transport more hounds to public awareness and fundraising events, increasing homing opportunities.

Added to this we are now able to provide our Eastern Counties Branch with a smaller vehicle which was based at our Broadmarsh Branch, ensuring every Branch of Home Run Hounds now has appropriate transport facilities across all 6 sites.
    
       

Additionally, a vital £10,000 grant in Lifeline food vouchers has lifted a massive financial burden from us for a few months. As a volunteer-led charity, managing everyday food costs is a constant challenge. This dedicated funding ensures our hounds receive premium nutrition while freeing up our public donations. We can now redirect those generous community funds entirely toward critical, high-cost veterinary treatments and specialized welfare needs.

The immense generosity of the Pets Foundation empowers our volunteers to work smarter, travel safer, and focus resources exactly where they matter most.
