Another Home Run Hounds Success Story!

ADELAIDE

Read all about ADELAIDE's successful rehoming below.

ADELAIDE's story:

Home Run Hounds Eastern Counties Greyhound Charity were asked to step in and help an 8 year old greyhound that had been waiting for a rehoming space with another group for over 3 years.
After retiring Adelaide had a litter of pups and HRHEC recently rehomed her daughter Ana. while Adelaide still waited. Around the time HRHEC were asked to find a home for her, a lady had been in touch with us looking for an older female greyhound as company for their existing boy who had recently lost his pal.
It seemed as if it was meant to be so Ingrid Wright who runs the EC Branch made the trip to meet up at our Lichfield branch to meet the potential adopter.
Adelaide travelled really well and after a quick drink and toilet break the introductions were done. The two dogs took to each other right from the start, enjoying mutual sniffing and a walk in each other's company. Adelaide was just what the family were looking for.
On adoption day, we said goodbye to Adelaide now called Misty (on the right in the picture) as she made her start towards her forever home with new friend Oscar.
