BORIS (TALBOT LOCKDOWN)'s story:

Happily Homed Hounds - Boris

All homings are special, but Boris's story is that extra bit special due to the dedication of his fabulous family.
Greyhounds rarely bark. In kennels, Boris (Talbot Lockdown) was very much the exception to the rule - barking at anything that moved and leaping around with excitement for a good 5 minutes after.

Volunteer Stacey walks all our dogs off site regularly but always had a soft spot for Boris. She offered to try him at home on a foster basis, with her wonderful family, Trev the JRT and Glory the grey.

Visits to kennels and association walking with her pack then followed. Knowing the family to be highly experienced, the foster paperwork was signed and Boris went off to begin his trial period. Stacey kept us updated on his progress throughout and we were thrilled recently when they asked if they could adopt him permanently. Home life has cured his anxiety and he now realises that retirement means 'paws up & chill'.

We're all absolutely thrilled for Boris, who couldn't have wished for a better Happy Ever After.
