All About ALEXA (BLAKEFIELD ALEXA)

Alexa is a beautiful fawn greyhound with stunning eyes, an elegant trot and an incredibly affectionate nature. She's already captured the hearts of our volunteers, and it's not difficult to see why!

Alexa absolutely loves people. She greets her volunteers with little kisses, leans against them for cuddles and is always happy to receive plenty of fuss. She's also a patient girl, happily waiting while she's prepared for her walks or while her volunteers finish what they're doing.

Out walking, Alexa has a beautiful, graceful stride and enjoys exploring, sniffing and keeping an eye out for squirrels. She particularly loves walking alongside other greyhounds and can occasionally pull on the lead when she's eager to catch up with her friends or investigate a particularly interesting smell!

Alexa recently enjoyed a trip to a busy canal festival in Stourbridge. She coped well with the traffic and crowds and loved meeting people and other greyhounds. However, she was less comfortable around some other breeds, particularly smaller dogs. As she's still very new to life beyond kennels, we're continuing to assess her reactions and help her build confidence around unfamiliar dogs. For now, she'll benefit from having some space during encounters with other breeds.

Alexa needed a little help getting into the car for her festival trip, but she soon settled and travelled well. She's still learning about life beyond kennels, and we're looking forward to seeing how she develops with more experience.

If you're looking for a loving, affectionate companion who'll greet you with kisses and happily lean against you for fuss, we'd love for you to meet Alexa.
