All About SAM (LIGHT FOOT SAMUEL)

**RESERVED** This hound has been reserved for a potential new owner.

Sam is a wonderful boy in kennels, he recently went out on our Foster2adopt program, sadly he had to return as it became clear that he needed the company of a second hound or someone who would be home most of the time.

Sam is a very sociable boy and loves his family to be around, he doesn’t do well being left on his own (but see below from his foster carers).

In the home he has shown what a perfect boy he is, he is toilet trained, manages the stairs extremely well and loves his food.  Out and about Sam has been a star, he travels very well in the car, he walks extremely well, showing no reaction to people.  Recently, on a visit to a local radio station, Sam was in his element enjoying all of the attention and cuddles, he really does love people and is looking forward to finding his forever home.

Sam also attended Cars In the Park in Lichfield at the beginning of July and couldn't go more than a few metres without being stopped by people wanting to fuss the greyhounds. Sam was more than happy to oblige and absolutely loved all the attention and cuddles he received.

PUPDATE

Love sponge Sam had a second visit last weekend with super foster carers Steph and Ade. They had had him before but we asked for an update after he was returned from his trial period in another home where he was struggling to be left alone though was perfect in every other way...good news is that he did well so read on...
Snuggle obsessed Sam, jumped into the car himself the first time but was a little more reluctant to get in any other time  but travels well once settled in.
*He's been fabulous in the house and settled in quickly.
*Playful with toys, few zoomies playing, when the temperature reduced of course!
*not been out and about due to the heat but we did have a visit to my sister's house and he got on great with her greyhound crew and had a nice time running between people for cuddles
*Not one to miss out, if myself or Ade fussed any of Jo's dogs he would make sure he nudged them out for his share but there were no cross words!
*No accidents in the house and not phased by household noises.
*He had a period of being on his own after Ade left for work, I stayed upstairs to see if he would be settled and TBH only heard him after about an hour, he wasn't whining or barking. Judging by the toys scattered around he'd been playing.
*He loves to be wherever you are and will follow you around #
*He never fully finished his food but could be encouraged to eat more by putting on fish oil. Not really into treats but did like cheese.

He's a gorgeous boy, very happy lad and gives a very excited greeting when he see's you.

Sam, who will be 4 in August, has been out and about to numerous events and he's brilliant with other dogs and people.

Sam is one of the cuddliest greyhounds we know and if you are home most of the time and want a snuggly companion or a second hound, Sam's you boy and deserves a second chance at being loved as someones pet.
