Personality & Home Life

He loves cuddles on the sofa, often curling up right beside his people to lap up attention. He will lean in for fuss and is known to gently rub his face against his people.

George thrives on a structured, steady daily routine with set meal times.

He is clean in the house and not destructive when left alone. He has mastered sleeping through the night and is learning to relax on the sofa.

Quirks: 

He is very particular about his possessions and enjoys lining up his teddy bears before bed. He is also known to steal shoes if given the chance!

He doesn't like to share his his food and toys, so he is best suited for a home with children no younger than 10, where his possessions can be managed safely.

Out and About

He is a lovely walker who stays by your side and learns his local area quickly. He typically enjoys two to three 20–30 minute walks, but is happy with a longer 40-minute morning walk.

While he is fine with most dogs, he has a high prey drive toward squirrels and should be kept on a lead or harness in areas like golf courses or woods.

He is happy around dogs that do not bother him, but like many hounds, dislikes high-energy dogs (like Spaniels) rushing up to him. He would be happiest as an only dog in the home.

He has learned to hop into the car independently. He handles outdoor steps well but does not navigate indoor stairs.

George is looking for an older, quieter household that can provide him with "only child" treatment, plenty of cuddles, and the patience to let him continue building his confidence in a secure, loving environment.
