RILEY's story:
Riley came into our Monkspath kennels as an unraced pup. Such a bundle of love, we wanted to find him an extra special home. Responding well to basic training in kennels, Riley went out on a couple of home experiences with some of our fabulous foster families, to see which type of family dynamic would suit him best.
One of our wonderful volunteers Nita had sadly lost her beautiful boy Mikey and had resigned herself to the fact that she wouldn't adopt another greyhound. Having spent time with Riley, she realised how much she missed having her own grey at home and along with hubby Steve, the trio began enjoying day trips out together, slowly seeing if they could all be compatible. Home Run Hounds prides itself on our homings being 'dog led'. The adoption time scale is always 2nd place to the happiness of both hound and adopter. We were thrilled this week when we received the news that they wanted to permanently adopt Riley💖
