BILL (IT'S ALL LUCK BILL)'s story:
Beautiful Bill who has been waiting for his special person for quite some time, found him in Josh Gregory - rather they found eachother, as Josh didn't need to look at anyone else - Bill was THE ONE. We were thrilled to bit as Bill was one of our longer stayers though we never figured out why. So off they went on his foster2adopt trial period
Josh said, "Bill had personality right from the start, he was patient, warm and full of character. When he first arrived he made himself right at home. Helping himself to the Christmas decorations (which were now toys) and exploring the whole flat before falling asleep on the bed. We've had new adventures together, exploring parks and going on nature walks. He's always following his nose to something interesting.
Bill is the first dog I've ever had, and the experience has been fantastic. Initially I went through the F2A route, but after having Bill for a week, I have decided to adopt him and he's staying as Bill. Having him in my life has been more than I thought it could be and I can't imagine it without him now.
The whole process was really good from the start and you're all so helpful it doesn't really feel like it finished, I've felt very welcomed and enjoyed meeting all the volunteers and the greyhounds at the kennels."
You're right Josh it hasn't finished....it's just the beginning and welcome to the Home Run Hounds Greyhound Family. We look forward to seeing you at some of our walks and events over the moths and years to come - we're always here for you and all our adopters.
The team at home run hounds make you feel welcome, and offer so much help and support, so I would encourage anyone looking into getting a companion to adopt a greyhound.
