WE ARE THRILLED TO SAY....
A HOMING WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR - CASPER
We
know that there is a home out there for every dog but some dogs just have to wait a bit longer for their extra special person....but the wait is over for our boy Casper!
Casper was loved by our volunteers during his 390 days in kennels but that's just not the same as being loved as a family pet. We're so pleased that Casper is now being well and truly loved by his new adopter Jo, and her partner, who live in Bristol.
It was the greyhound community that helped find Jo when one of our volunteers posted Casper on Retired Greyhound Owners' FB page where Jo saw him. Having recently lost her greyhound Jo was ready to open her heart and home to another. Having had greyhounds and lurchers before she felt she was well-placed to help Casper with his reactivity with other dogs (and bicycles!)
Our "three Amigos" Simon, Dennis, and Shaun, who had been working with Casper, took him to Bristol to meet Jo and for Casper to start his foster2adopt trial period.
Jo reports that he's making good progress. She says "I wasn't going to give up on him . I didn't want him to be in kennels waiting and waiting for a new adopter. He's so settled. It will take a lot of patience but I have that for him."
You can just see from his happy homing photos how happy he looks, don't you think?
