Another Home Run Hounds Success Story!

Ben’s biggest wish was that he shared his life with a 4 legged friend. As he spends time with his brother’s greyhound, Floki, he just knew that a greyhound would be his perfect best friend.

He came to kennels to meet several dogs and it was stunning boy Chilli who picked Ben as he was after a best friend too. Ben came to kennels several times before taking Chilli home on foster to adopt and with each visit, we could see the bond growing between them. Chilli went for a home visit and an overnight stay, both went really well with Ben being super prepared, having everything that Chilli would need.

As Ben works in a school, he picked Chilli up on the first Saturday of the 6 week break eager to get him home. Chilli is settling into a routine and has completed Ben’s home. After 2 weeks on foster, the adoption was completed and Ben’s big dream is now a reality.

We are so pleased that Ben wants to volunteer with us and we look forward to seeing them regularly.
