Another Home Run Hounds Success Story!

Volunteers Todd and Amy knew that they wanted a greyhound to complete their family. Their dog, Benson, had gone over the rainbow bridge and left the emptiness only a dog can leave. 
The dynamics of their family had changed with 2 small children so their new addition needed to be a solid family dog. 
Amy was volunteering one morning, leaving Todd and the children at home when she walked sweet boy, Conti who had been in a home for an extended period of time and was struggling being back in kennels. Amy went home to talk Conti over with Todd. 
Conti is not blessed with confidence and takes a while to warm up to new people. The family took him home for several weekend sleepovers to see if they would be suitable for his needs. 
Conti worked his magic and he went home on an extended foster to adopt. It hasn’t been plain sailing with Conti finding a family home a little overwhelming but Todd and Amy have taken everything at his pace, providing a safe, quiet place for him to go when needed. Day by day, Conti is growing in confidence and they just knew that he had to be made a permanent member of their family. 
Coming back to kennels to sign the adoption paperwork everyone was delighted to see how well Conti looked and it was clear to see the bond he had with his people. 
Thank you Todd and Amy for seeing the potential in this lovely boy, we are delighted he is finally home and we know how much he is already loved.
