DERRY(DERRYVOOREY)'s story:
Darling Derry (Derryvoorey) found his fantastic forever family recently. Emma had been hearing all about greyhounds from her friend Michelle (who also happens to be one of our amazing volunteers and has herself made many dreams come true by adopting several gorgeous greys over the years💖). Derry had been in foster, like most of our hounds, so we had a great insight into his personality and suitability. It was love at first sight on the first meeting (at our monthly branch walk, with the foster family) but....they had a holiday booked and were worried that a 4 week reservation period would be a problem for us. Home Run Hounds pride ourselves on being dog led and finding the best possible outcome for every dog in our care. If we are sure that the home is right for the dog and the dog is right for the home, we are always happy to fit in with homers for the best time to settle their new companion in.
In the couple of weeks leading up to the holiday, the family came to walk Derry and spend quality time with them as often as they possibly could, all getting to know each other and bond smoothly.
Derry has been home a few weeks now and is well and truly part of the family. Well done DerryðŸ¾
