?Loveable playful Fred has officially been adopted by his foster dad, Chris!
When Chris and his daughter came to meet Fred, it was love at first sight all round. Fred was so gentle giving everyone little licks and kisses and was so happy to meet them it was obvious he was going to fit right in!
It didn’t take long for Fred to realise he was already exactly where he belonged. From day one, he claimed his rightful spot on the sofa, and he’s been making Chris laugh ever since.
Fred has proven to be an absolute superstar. He’s already a social butterfly! He’s been out making lots of new friends, including two whippets, a cockapoo, and his new best bud, a Westie, who he happily partied with at a recent family BBQ. He’s also conquered his fear of the hoover and is settling down beautifully when Chris has to pop out.
Of course, a retired racer needs a hobby, and Fred has taken up two! Zoomies and Landscape Gardening.
According to Chris, Fred’s daily routine involves digging a massive trench in the back garden (seemingly trying to reach Australia!), doing a lap of coordinated greyhound zoomies, and then flopping directly into his newly dug hole to cool off. As Chris says, "A perfect lawn is overrated anyway!"
When he isn’t excavating the garden, Fred can be found sleeping in those classic, utterly awkward, greyhound positions.
We couldn’t be happier for this perfect pair. Chris, thank you for giving Fred the patient, loving, and fun-filled home he deserves.
And what better way to celebrate being adopted? Why his first zoomies in an enclosed paddock, of course!
Happy life, Fred! May your sofas always be comfy, your treats always be tasty, and your holes always be deep!
