LILLY (GRANGEVIEW LILLY)'s story:
Lilly was another very shy dog we had in kennels who needed a very special home...that's when Alice Bowles contacted us looking to adopt another greyhound. Alice had adopted a greyhound when she lived in Australia and brought him back with her the UK but sadly lost him a couple of years ago. ?
Alice was embarking on a exciting new venture and swapped her bricks and mortar house to full time van life and was looking for a greyhound companion to share her new home. She was pleased when we told her HRH is very flexible in our homing policy - if it's the right home for the right dog then we'll consider it; we already home to people in canal boats so would consider a motorhome.
"Van check" done, Alice came to our Watford Gap kennels to meet some hounds and fell for shy girl Lilly. Lilly, now called Jazz, took to living in the van beautifully and Alice was in a fortunate position to be able to park up somewhere quiet for Jazz to adapt. How wonderful to be so flexible.
Alice messaged us and said, "I think I'm still in shock at how far she has come overall, but especially this past 4 days, she a miracle!!! I know we will have ups and downs and lots of work still to do, but I am feeling confident now that we've both made the decision to go ahead with her adoption...thank you so much for the support."
We're so pleased that Jazz had found someone who is so in tune with her needs and is so loved by her new extended family. ?
