HAPPILY HOMED LUCA
On a recent trip to Lichfield with our volunteers, Luca popped into FM & J. Wait Funeral Directors who are supporters of Home Run Hounds, little did he know he was about to find his forever home.
Luca was busy introducing himself to everyone and getting the cuddles he so loves, when he came across Richard, he gently lent into Richard and the stars aligned - Luca had found his person.
We are not sure Richard was looking for a retired greyhound but he was clearly smitten by our big black boy. We left our details and crossed our fingers we would hear from Richard.
The very next day Rachel, Richard’s wife, called and spoke to us to arrange a viewing. Luca worked his best magic when they came to see him, although he didn’t need to, both Richard and Rachel were in love with him.
F2A was arranged and Luca left the kennels to his new home. He settled in very well, and with support from the homing team they navigated their new life together. Luca was never coming back, and we are so happy that he is now fully adopted and enjoying life in his new home.
Richard and Rachel are delighted and said, ‘ Luca brings the light into our lives, our BFG, finally in his forever home, we are the lucky ones, welcome home Luca.’
