Did you know?
Some greyhounds sleep with their eyes open
Happily Homed Ruby
Gail, Neil, George and Emmeline were looking for a fun, family dog so came to kennels to meet some of our girls. Not strangers to sighthounds after homing Millie the lurcher who was a stray many years before. Millie had sadly passed over the rainbow bridge and they all felt it was the right time to open their hearts to a new family member.
After meeting some of our greyhounds, they were torn between 2 girls so we went on a trip to Chasewater to see how they behaved in the world to help them make up their minds. Gail had formed a special connection with Ruby and was drawn to her in every way.
After a family chat, it was decided that Ruby had found her forever family!
After a settling in period, where Gail and Neil worked hard to ensure that Ruby was the perfect fit for their family, we are delighted that our stunning girl is adopted and home to stay! We look forward to hearing all about Ruby’s adventures as she grows up with George and Emmeline. As you’ll see in the photos, Ruby loves her bed and enjoys the garden too!
And the other greyhound who went to Chasewater? She was adopted a few days later by another family.
A real happy ever after!
Come and meet her
