Happy Homing, Shadow! (Lightfoot Samuel)

Big, gentle Sam—now officially named Shadow—has finally found his forever home with Meloney and her family!

Meloney has held a dream of adopting a greyhound for years, regularly spotting our Home Run Hounds team during our Lichfield Walks. When the time was finally right to welcome a hound into her life, she didn't hesitate to visit us. It was love at first sight with our handsome gentle giant, a lovable boy who had already proven what a brilliant ambassador he is for the breed during his trip to Crufts with us!

Shadow has settled into home life like an absolute pro. He is thoroughly enjoying all the perks of being a cherished family pet, especially his collection of toys, delicious treats, and his favorite summer essential: a frozen licky mat to keep cool during the heatwave.

Most of all, he has completely fallen for Meloney. True to his new name, he is always right by her side no matter what she’s doing—her faithful, loving shadow.

Thank you, Meloney, for giving this gorgeous boy the wonderful home he deserves. We can’t wait to see you both become regulars on our Lichfield Walks!
