Another Home Run Hounds Success Story!

SHERRI (SHERIFF GLEN)'s story:

Shy girl Sherri (Sherrif Glen) had the most heartwarming 'Happy Ever After' recently. This nervous Nerys struggled to cope with kennel life. We knew straight away that she would benefit from a foster, but as she takes so long to trust new people, it couldn't be short term and preferably in a home with other greys. Having fabulously fostered several dogs over the years, Jody was the obvious choice, but with 3 homed hounds already in the household, it was a huge 'ask'. Jody agreed to give her a try and worked really hard with her in the first 6 months to help her realise that the world isn't such a scary place and that being loved is a very comforting thing. It took 6 months for her to even begin to decompress and Jody kindly agreed that she would continue to foster her until the right home came along.

Home Run Hounds is a charity that prides itself on ensuring the right home is found every time. It may take a couple of attempts, but it's not about 'numbers' or 'dates on a spreadsheet' - it's about the love & care of each individual dog being paramount. We support our fosterers with food costs, vet costs and on going support, should it be needed, to ensure that every single dog we take in, gets the very best.

Sherri has been with Jody, her fantastic family & pawfect pack for nearly 2 years now. Not receiving one single enquiry for homing, but being incredibly happy where she is - we were overjoyed when Jody told us she wouldn't be without her and wanted to make Sherri officially 'theirs'
