Another Home Run Hounds Success Story!

HONEY (BIT VIEW HONEY)'s story:

Julia and David Hadland were travelling back from Brighton, when they decided to call in at the services for a pit-stop. Strangely, they’d only been discussing the possibility of adopting a greyhound of their own that day. Their daughter has owned several and with David entering retirement it seemed like the perfect time to begin their search.

It just so happened that some Home Run Hounds volunteers had also parked up carrying some of our greyhounds back to kennels from West End Woofs, an awareness event in Covent Garden. Peering through the window, Julia and David spotted Honey, who looked perfect for them. So a few days later, they made the call and arranged to meet her. It was a close call, as we showed them another blue called Princess (equally lovely).

However, Julia and David felt that fate had already decided, with their chance encounter at Beaconsfield. How unlikely was that? Honey left to begin her new life in Stratford-upon-Avon. Julia and David can’t wait to be part of the greyhound community and all it has to offer.
