Happily Homed Lass -Archie’s Lass
Joanna and Tyler wanted a dog of their own and after researching breeds, they knew that a greyhound would be the perfect fit.
The couple came to kennels and met several dogs, who were very suitable for first time greyhound owners. They spent time with each dog, and when we thought that they were there with a decision, Tyler asked to meet one more bitch.
Lass was new to kennels and very shy, she came to meet them and they instantly knew how to greet her, seeing past her subdued nature. As Lass hadn’t been offsite, the couple went home to await a report of how she did and if she’d be suitable.
A couple of days later, they were delighted to hear that Lass was great offsite, with no reactivity, so she was reserved!
Lass went home on foster to adopt, Tyler and Joanna were determined to do everything they could to make her feel safe and happy. It isn’t easy taking a shy dog home but they persevered and each day she gets a little braver.
With her new name, Honey, Tyler and Joanna have found their girl. They know that her progress will be slow and sometimes rocky but they couldn’t imagine life without her.
Honey has found her perfect home with this lovely couple, they can see her potential and are looking forward to the day where they can join one of our group walks with Honey confidently enjoying the experience.
Our shyer dogs can be slow burners but the rewards of their progress is so heartwarming. Thank you to Tyler and Joanna for helping Honey shineUse the buttons below to see all our available hounds or to read about the adoption procedure we have in place here at Home Run Hounds
